INTRODUCTION: Taaleem Foundation is a women-run organization. TF Grammar School System in an educational and research project of the Foundation, which comprises a chain of co-education English Medium Schools with ‘all female faculty’ in the district headquarters of Balochistan. The syllabus is at par with the quality schools in the country. The academic year coincides with the calendar year, thus, the Annual examinations are held in December, after which the schools close for the annual winter vacations. However, the school at Sui closes for two months during summer. Following is brief profile of each school.
KOHLU: The first school to be established by Taaleem Foundation network was at Kohlu in 1989. Kohlu is located at a distance of 300 kilometers from Multan. The school comprises of 28 class rooms, computer room, science room and a number of on-campus staff residence. Kohlu is connected by road with Multan through Fort Munro and DG Khan. It has very pleasant climate.
ZHOB: Established in 1991, TF Grammar School Zhob is located in the tranquil surroundings of Zhob Cantonment, which is about 330 kilometers from Quetta and 350 kilometers from Multan. The school comprises of 20 class room, multi-purpose library, computer centre, dispensary and adequate staff residence. It has a road connection with Punjab through DG Khan; with KPK though DI Khan; and is connected by air with Islamabad, Peshawar, DI khan, Multan and Quetta. Climate is very pleasant here.
LORALAI: TF School Loralai is located at 240 kilometers from Quetta and 350 kilometers from Multan. Established in 1993, comprises 18 classrooms, science lab, computer lab, administration block and an independent hostel for teachers. It is well connected by road with DG Khan and Quetta. Moreover, a new school building with state of the art facilities, with additional 12 rooms, has been constructed to facilities teachers and students with modern quality education.
KILA SAIFULLAH: The school at Kila Saifullah was setup in 1992 at a distance of 60 kilometers from Loralai, 170 kilometers from Quetta and 170 kilometers from Zhob. The school is housed in a customized building constructed with the Japanese assistance. The present premises have 24 class rooms, computer lab, dispensary and adequate accommodation for staff. It has a road connection with DI Khan, Loralai, Zhob and Quetta. There is a functional Cadet College located between Kila Saifullah and Muslim Bagh.
MUSLIM BAGH: TF Grammar School in Muslim Bagh is located only 120 kilometers from Quetta. The school has 20 rooms to impart knowledge to the students. This building was also constructed through the Japanese financial assistance. It also consists of a computer lab and a teacher’s hostel. On-campus housing primarily caters for unmarried staff. Muslim Bagh has a cold climate like Murree and is known for its natural treasures such as apricot and apple. The area is also known for mines and minerals.
MASTUNG: TF Grammar School at Mastung was established in 1993 and is located on RCD Highway at a distance of just 50 kilometers from Quetta. The school comprises 18 classrooms, auditorium, library, science, computer room and a separate administration block. New staff residences have been recently added. It is connected with Quetta and Karachi both by road and rail.
SUI: TF School in Sui is located at just 50 kilometers from Kashmor, and 250 kilometers from DG Khan. It compromises 25 classrooms, multi-purpose hall, staff room, science lab, computer lab and teacher’s hostel. Kashmor-the nearest railway station is well connected with Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. TF has established a model Vocational and Technical training Centre for girls in the School premises and a campus of Virtual University in neighbourhood. The school has newly constructed staff residences.
PISHIN: TF Grammar School in Pishin was founded in 1994. It is only 50 kilometers away from Quetta. The building has 14 classrooms, a staff room and a multi-purpose hall. Moreover, it has two spacious house, four apartments and a 16 room hostel for unmarried staff. The school is located in a serene environment at the entry point of Pishin town. The city is full of fruit orchards.
HEAD OFFICE: With its head office at Islamabad, TF is efficiently managing its field operations through a regional office at Quetta.
